Christine Whitehouse (539)
My son in law's father Peter
died earlier this year after losing his battle with Leukaemia.
Peter was a lovely person and a wonderful husband, father and
grandfather. His family miss him very much.
I promised my son in law and daughter that I would run my next
race (McCain Yorkshire Coast 10k) for Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research UK
in Peter's memory.
Best Regards - Christine
Antony Tighe (617), Carl
Stuttard (677), Adam Lee (615), Will Warwick (616)
We're fire fighters from Scarborough Fire Station and we are going to
try and run the race in our fire kit (hopefully without passing out!).
We are doing it to raise money for Charlie Hook, a five year old boy
recently diagnosed with an aggressive form of childhood
cancer that needs to raise £300,000 for life saving treatment abroad.
We have received £500 from Park Leisure 2000 Ltd so far and hope to
raise lots more, if anyone
would like to donate you can do so by following the link -

Nick Marshall (420) and Abigail Marshall (421)
I am running with my daughter Abigail Marshall. I am 54 and my daughter
is 15, this is our first 10k together
We are collecting money for the Scarborough Detached Youth work Charity
"SIDEWALK" and for "CHRISTIAN AID".
Please contact us at
nicholasmarshall@hotmail.co.uk to
sponsor us.
Best regards from Nick Marshall
Steve Flintoft (352)
I'm running for Anthony Nolan. I ran for them in the Great North Run and
have carried over my sponsorship to the McCain Yorkshire Coast 10km.
So far I have raised £851. Would love to hit £900 - we'll just have to
wait and see!
Steve
Nigel Pepper (202)
I am running in the hope of raising money for the Olivia Smith Trust
Fund. Olivia is a local girl who last year, at the age of 6 months, had
her mum, Laura, tragically killed.
A fund was started to raise money for Olivia so when she is older she
has the best start possible.
If anyone is willing to make a donation I will be more than happy
to accept !
Thanks
Nigel

Rebecca Clifton - Runner No: 203
I am running to raise money for Yorkshire Cancer Research as it is a
local charity and they need support to help find a cure for this
devastating illness. Like many families our family has been affected by
cancer more than once, I will be running in memory of my Father in Law
who was a keen Bridlington Road runner who ran the London Marathon seven
times.
To try to raise money I will have run 3 races in 6 weeks after only
starting running in May this year. The last race I ran was Bridlington
Half Marathon.
I am still taking sponsorship! - Becky
Mark Prime - Runner No: 738
I am running for my charity, and that I have a just giving page that
people can contribute donations to, it is all greatly appreciated and
ensures the sufferers of this horrid disease have a better quality of
life -

Excited and cannot wait for Sunday! - Mark
Amy Boddy - Runner No: 132
I'm doing the Scarborough 10k this year for the first time and running
for my Grandad who was diagnosed with MND (Motor Neurone Diesease) years
ago. He has fought the disease and has been so strong and I'm so proud
of him. Hopefully he will be there to watch if he's feeling ok!! Only
just got back into training though after having a baby 6 months ago so
it's going to be a tough one!! - Amy
Nick Addey - Runner No: 33
Just to let you know
I'm running for the charity BLISS on Sunday, I've raised £400 so far.
BLISS supports babies born too soon, too small, too sick.
I'm running in memory of my son William. I only took up running five
weeks ago! and have been training hard. I did 10k last Sunday (the
furthest I've run in my life!) in 56 mins (Yorkshire Coast 10K circuit)
and am hoping that everyone will be cheering the old 50 year old with
number 33 on Sunday. Looking forward to it - Nick
